: little kiddie swimmers :

Aren't they the cutest??!

It was warm.
It was nice.
So Jamie whipped out the kiddie pool,
and Rachael whipped out the slip n' slide.

Jaden's favorite part was the little water fountains along the edges of the slip n' slide.  He just stood on the side lines with his hands in the water for the majority of the afternoon.

The kiddos had a blast.

: lately with our roomies :

Well, it's been quite awesome.  We love having Casey and Kimber with us, and Jaden is just plain giddy about it.  First thing in the morning, "Ber-ber go?  Cazee go?"  He wants to be doing whatever they are doing... all. the. time.
like...

 :p90x with Kimber:
p.s. Look at that form!!!:)  Go Kimber!
p.p.s.  Kimber's also learning how to play the piano like a rockstar!

 :couch time w/Kimber:

:begging for attention from Casey... constantly:
:playing in the backyard and eating lunch with Kimber:

:taking walks with Kimber:
 yeah... isn't she great?

I've been having lots of fun with Kimber too.
homemade ice cream
couponing
random projects
piano lessons
lots of cooking/cleaning
playing in the backyard

It's not as easy to catch still shots with Casey and Jaden...
'cause they are always on the GO.

He's also been teaching Jaden some driving skills.

p.s.  Casey & Kimber did wonders for our lawn.  It no longer looks like a jungle as shown above:)

we've had some fun with just the four of us too...
never-ending episodes of 'Friends'
card games like Euchre
half-marathon
lots of hanging out
and date night with friends

promise we don't always look like this;)

Yay for more summer fun with the Cutler crazies!

four

Mother's Day was extra special for me this year.  Not only did I get to celebrate the wonderful blessing of motherhood, but Cody and I also celebrated our four year anniversary!  The two sweetest blessings in my life are being a wife and mother, so this day was simply the best.

It was my turn to plan our anniversary get-away this year.  Cody has been wanting to take a trip down to Nashville, Indiana for awhile now, so I surprised him with a 3-day stay in a rustic cabin at the Abe Martin Lodge in the heart of Brown County State Park.  It's the largest state park in Indiana and just gorgeous!

Nashville is such a quaint little town with lots of fun shops... crafts, antiques, clothes, ice cream, candy, etc.  It didn't even feel like we were in Indiana anymore because everything was so unique.

We happened to be visiting the weekend of the Morel Mushroom Festival.  They had a parade in honor of mushrooms!  The Red Had Society was most impressive.
How could we resist all that candy???

Here we are with a random train, sleigh and van going for $20,000.  Really!  They even posted a whole list of reasons on the window of why it was worth so much.

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Snowman Cutler.

You could call this our 4-year anniversary photo.

:taken at Yesteryear Photo Studio:

I have planned our anniversary two times...
... and two times we have gone golfing.
Why?  Because my husband LOVES it.
..and I don't mind a good ride along:)  It always reminds me of our first date.  Cody took me golfing with one of his buddies.  He and I rode in our own golf cart and the buddy in his.  How's that for a 3rd wheel?:)

p.s. golf carts with GPS systems rock!

Here we are pondering on our future days when we are old, cute, and rocking away in our rockers.

What can I say?  My maiden name is Moon.
So when I see a cute Moon, I take a picture of it.
even if it's on the door of a john:)

Rachael and Preston were celebrating their anniversary the same weekend and just so happened to be in Nashville too!  How could we resist meeting up?  Well, we couldn't:)  So we got together for dinner at Hobnob, hometown ice cream, and a show called "It's Only Temporary" at Coachlight Theatre. Wow... is the only way to describe that show.  A few minutes in, we wondered if we could get through it.  Good thing we stuck it out, because it ended up being absolutely hilarious!  Really... we were giggling like little school kids.

:the cast:

Can't say the awkward statue boys and old-fashioned "love tester" helped our giggly situation.  We all paid the $0.25 to see the results and I'm pretty sure we were all pretty surprised!

Not sure who this guy is...
but he must be important if he's painted on a bench.

The last day of our get-away was the day of our anniversary and mother's day.  We enjoyed an extensive Mother's Day buffet at the lodge with every delcious think you can think of.

After we stuffed ourselves full, we met up with our sweet little man at church.  He stayed the weekend with our friends, Scott and Jamie, and had a great time!  We missed him like crazy:)

I love this.  Before we headed out for the weekend, Cody surprised me with flowers, a card, my favorite candy, and a SNUGGIE!  hahaha.  I think he did it as a joke, but I have to admit it's nice to move my arms freely and stay warm at the same time.
Cody even remembered to stuff a dollar bill in the card like every cardgiver should:)

Thanks babe.  It has been an amazing four years with you by my side.  I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Love you forever.

Fifth of May

Until this year, I didn't understand why we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.  Kinda cool actually... click here if you're interested.

Whether understood or not, it's a great excuse to indulge in delicious Mexican food!  So that's exactly what we did to recognize the holiday... we indulged.  The Thompsons hosted a fantastic party and the spread was amazing!  Every Mexican delight you can think of... all the way down to the Guanajuatos carne asada, tres leches cake, and horchata.  It was all so good!

Not to mention the awesome games and company to enjoy it all with!

Even better... our awesome brother/sister-in-law got to come too!  Why?  Because they are staying with us for the summer!:)  It's only been a week and we've already had way too much fun.  We love sharing the same roof with them and are excited for the many plans we've made for the next few months.

Cody and Casey will be selling pest control and studying like mad-men the majority of the time.  Casey is taking the DAT mid-June and Cody is taking his Boards later in the month.  Lucky boys;)

Yep, it was stinkin' fun.
