*The Moons came to Logan*

We had such a blast with the Moons a couple weekends ago. They all came up to Logan to enjoy a beautiful Autumn Day and picnic in Logan Canyon. We had tons of food, lots of laughs, and games...of coarse! We even played the good old "Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John" which hasn't been played for years! It was some of the in-laws first time playing and they cracked up so hard seeing how seriously we Moons took it. What can I say? We are TRUE gamers! Cody and I always ALWAYS love spending time with our families. Thanks for making the trek up to see us fam! We love you.

(We presented a scrapbook of the Moon Reunion to Mom and Dad before we headed up the canyon. They loved it! Jen did such an amazing job!:)

Pumpkin Time!

I love Autumn, and with the season comes carving pumpkins! This year we carved pumpkins with a bunch of our friends at the Shipley's home. We had a great time and everyone did such a good job on their carvings! Once we finished up on our the jack-o-lanterns, we headed up Providence Canyon and built a HUGE bonfire to roast marshmellows. It was so hot we had to stand 10 feet back just to breath! Our roasting sticks weren't nearly 10 feet long, so Cody found a giant tree branch and twisted a wire hanger around the end to put the marshmellow on. It was stinkin' hilarious! It even started snowing while we were up in the canyon...the first snowfall of the year. I just love this time of year!:)

Love these girls!

These are the girls I work with...Erica, Elizabeth, and Jen. They are amazing and we always have so much fun together! Erica had tons going on this semester and had to leave the Aggie Connection. We have seriously missed her and just HAD to get together to catch up and reminisce. So we met up at one of our favorites, Costa Vita. Though the boys weren't invited, Cody was crazy excited because he knew I would bring home some horchata for him (his all time favorite drink from his days in Mexico). Well we ended up gabbing for three hours straight! We were like in our own little bubble with countless people coming and going, and we barely even noticed! Through the night we giggled, sighed, listened to each other's stories on the edge of our seats, and just about cried! What a night! Thank you, girls, for a wonderful time!

The Night of Freshman Boys

Freshman boys are crazy! Haha...okay not too crazy. Last weekend, we had Andrew and his roomies over for dinner, and boy do they got crazy freshmen boy energy! It was awesome having them over. We had a yummy Italian dinner, played lots of Wii, talked tons about wonderful memories in the Moon home, and ended with some chocolately dessert. We really enjoyed having them over and will most likely have them over again later in the year. Thanks for coming over boys!

Sabbath, Smores, & More!

Cody and I love Sundays! We start off our day with spiritual uplifting at early church and then get to spend the whole day together with little distraction. Church is always wonderful. Today we had a lesson in relief society about the three degrees of glory. It was interesting to see the various differences between the degrees. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband and that we are sealed for all eternity. I know, that together, we can gain exaltation and return to live with our father in heaven and be with Christ. What a blessing! In Sunday School we discussed my absolute favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi 11. I love reading about Christ's visit to the Americas. It makes the Book of Mormon that more real! It reminds me of the Testament movie and how the Savior knows us each by name. I recalled our visit to the Myan Ruins during our honeymoon in Mexico. There are so many signs that the people who once lived their shared our beliefs, and were the people of the Book of Mormon. If only the world could recognize it! The lesson today reaffirmed my testimony of the Book of Mormon and how grateful I am to know the truth. Cody and I were privileged to attend two sacrament meetings today. One in our ward and another at the assisted living center. I love the spirit of the "wise in years" folks. No matter how difficult, several of them dressed for church and rolled their chairs on over to the sacrament meeting. Cody blessed the sacrament and I lead the music. Other members of our ward spoke and did the musical number. Cody got to walk the center and let everyone who desired to partake of the sacrament. It really is so special to see these sweet elders. They are valiant to the end.

Later tonight, we visited our Bishop's house for smores with the ward. We had a blast! Cody and I are getting pretty good at the smore thing....haha. We love melting the chocolate on the graham cracker and then rotating the whole smore to get both sides toasty. I think tonight's smore was the best I've ever had! We also roasted starburst and tossed around the football again. After our Bishop's house we met up with the Ambassadors for a "mix 'n mingle." Super fun! It's just a way to see the Ambassadors and get to know them outside the regular meetings and such.

Missionary Reunion

President & Sister JohnsonWe had such a great time at Cody's mission reunion! This was the first reunion we've been to where his mission president was back home. I loved finally getting to meet them and all the missionaries I've heard so much about. Cody has told me millions of mission stories and now I can actually match faces to the stories:) It was super fun. Cody 'mission mom' is such a sweetheart. She even brought wedding gifts for all the married missionaries. I really enjoyed getting to know some of Cody's closest friends.

Cody's 24!

I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and just a couple weeks ago he turned 24! We had such a good time celebrating his life and partying up! The Cutlers were in town that weekend for family pictures and stayed for the celebration. We had church in the morning and then had the family over for dinner and cheesecake for a crowd! You Moons probably won't recognize it as such, but I did a little experimenting and made a double-decker version:) It was fun to play around with it, but I think it tastes way better in a 9x13 pan chilled in the fridge. Well anyway...we had fun chillin' with the fam and throwing around the football at the park after dinner. That night, a bunch of our friends came over for another birthday get-together. We had tons of pizza, bread sticks, and more cake! We have great friends and it really was so fun! In honor of Cody's 24th b-day I wanted to share 24 of the infinite number of reasons why I love and adore him.

1. He is my BEST friend and knows me better than I even know myself sometimes.
2. He surprises me all the time. I came home just the other day to a cute note on the front door and a spotless home! He seriously knows how to pull on my heart strings.
3. He keeps our romance ALIVE!!! I feel even giddier than when we were dating!
4. He is all about being equally yoked! We make every decision together and replace "I" and "my" with "WE."
5. He can cook! He doesn't even use a recipe or measuring cups, and whips up a masterpiece in minutes. Amazing.
6. He texts me "sweet nothings" every day.
   
7. HE'S SOOOOO HOT!!!
8. He tells me I'm beautiful when we just wake up... no matter how hard it is for me to believe it!
9. He cares deeply about my happiness and well-being....this one is a tear-jerker for me.
   
10. He ALWAYS kisses me goodnight.
11. He is honest, kind, thoughtful, worthy, understanding, and so patient.
12. He takes me on dates! He'll even call me up and let me know what time he'll be "picking me up." :)
13. He does the laundry more often than I do!
14. He is intelligent, dedicated, and cares about our success.
    
15. He's organized and understands what a priority that is to me...tee hee.
16. He puts my needs first.
17. He is a wonderful example of righteousness and helps me to be the best I can be.
    
18. He tickles my back each night until I fall asleep.
19. He is soooo stinkin' cute! He gives me the cutest looks that just melt my heart.
20. He chases me around the house, catches me, and then tickles me until I say the magic words:) No joke...it happens like every day.
21. He is sooo funny. He actually has made me pee my pants...NOT kidding.
22. He has his priorities straight....gospel, spouse, family, etc.
23. He truly makes me feel like a queen every day.
24. While we were dating, he told me how one of his biggest goals in life was to be the best husband possible. It may have seemed like a great "line" at the time, but boy has he proved this to be true!

Doubling Up

Last weekend, Cody and I doubled up with Casey and Jenn on a date. It was a total blast! We all laughed so hard my abs were sore. We had dinner at Coppermill, miniture golfed, and then had some ice cream at Caspers. Yummy! Cody wasted us all at golf...go figure! I came in last...haha.

Cutler Family Pictures

This past weekend was SUPER busy! Cody and I took off down to Nephi Friday afternoon for a recruting event and didn't arrive back in Logan until midnight. Saturday we woke up early for work, had family pictures in ther afternoon, a baptism that evening and then doubled up with Casey and went on a date. Sunday was Cody's 24th birthday!
