We have had quite the adventurous week! Things in the office have gone smoothly. Cody is still holding on to to his 'Top Salesman' title in the office by 10 sales. He had an awesome day yesterday and is practicing some of the techniques we tried last summer. This includes visualizing your success and feeling the feelings of success. I think it's really helping. Our office continues to grow slowly, yet surely. We are now up to a total of six sales reps!:) I've made a few efforts to make the office more appealing for 12- hour days. I keep my exercise ball, journal, the six-hour version of Pride and Prejudice, a couple books Christine hooked me up with, and some ice cream all right here in the office. It's definitely a little more enjoyable. Plus, one of the wives came and hung out with me in the office the past couple days. We had a great time! She's so fun and has me laughing non-stop! We have a good team this year and an awesome branch manager. In fact, he took us all out to Chili's this week just for kicks! It gave the guys a good boost for sure!:)
Now for the adventurous part of our week... This past Friday, Cody and I were up late packing for our weekend in Tennessee for David and Amy's wedding. We were all set to go around 1 a.m. Considering we would have to wake up at 5 a.m. to make the 10 hour drive the next day, we thought why not just get a head start? So we packed up the car and were on our way for another all night drive through the country. Cody pulled through until 5:30 a.m. and then I took over. Things were going well for the first hour. The sun was flirting with the idea of rising, the birds were chirping, the radio was jamming, Cody was snoozing, and I was feeling great:) All of a sudden, without any warning, the back of our car swerved sharply to the right. I over-corrected and then swerved sharply to the left. We continued swerving back and forth for a short time before we ran off the right-hand side of the road through grass about 3 feet tall. By this time, Cody began to awaken when we found ourselves at a dead stop perpendicular across I-65. I hurried to shift down into first and then scooted off to the median. A little shaken up, I was able to explain to Cody why we were sitting in the middle of the grassy median. Just then, an EMT pulled over to see what had happened. He actually hadn't seen me fly all over the road, but didn't think we would just be chillin' in the grass for no reason. He spent the next hour with us while we changed the tire, pumped up the rest of the tires, and located a nearby Midas. We waited 2 hours for the Midas to open, and a couple more for them to fix everything up. Luckily, we still made it to the wedding in plenty of time. We're not sure how it happened, but somehow the tire had lost all of it's air in a super short time...running me off the road. It was completely flat when we changed it. Midas found a leak in both the back tires and was able to recover them. We think the tire wasn't completely aligned or something and that's what caused it to lose it's air. Who knows! We just feel so grateful to be safe and sound! We ran off the road right between a cement bridge and lots of trees. Not to mention, no other cars were around us! Though our back door on the right is completely dented and the top of the door is sticking out a few inches from the car, it's still drivable and we made it to Memphis just fine. Heavenly Father is truly watching out for us. We are so blessed!
Well the wedding was absolutely beautiful! It was so nice to be with family! Some cousins I hadn't seen in years! I feel like I was meeting my oldest cousin all over again. We figured it had been about 15 years since we saw each other. I'm not sure if I even remember that far back;) The reception was a total blast. Lots of food and lots of dancing! Austin, Asa, and McCoy were so fun to party with. They have grown up so much and are so stickin' cute! Not to mention little baby Madsen. He's so adorable!!! By the end of the night we were partied out and ready for bed! The next morning we found a nearby church and were able to attend sacrament meeting. Then we went to Amy's parent's home for brunch. We enjoyed a few hours with wonderful family members and then had to say our goodbyes. We were thrilled to make just one more stop in Franklin at the Brady's. They have such a beautiful home! Asa gave us the grand tour and did such a great job. We enjoyed some yummy dinner and then had to say our goodbyes again!:( We made it the last 7-hour stretch and arrived back in Columbus around 2 a.m. We managed to get about 6 hours of sleep that night and were back to work early the next morning. It was a little crazy, but such a fun weekend! We love seeing family!

Brunette goes Golden Brown & Ohio Week 2
This is a random little post of recent pictures. We forgot our cord to download pictures from our camera, but luckily, the printer in the office had a little slot to actually put our memory card into. So here they are! The first picture gives you an idea of what we looked like traveling across country. Big pack, little car. It's cute, I know! The other three pictures were taken at a training we went to right before we came out for the summer. If you look closely you can see that Camille finally got the guts to highlight her hair! Moon girls...I know what you must be thinking...this is huge!!! We have always been true to our brunette roots and now the youngest has been bold in going just a little more golden. Kerri did it as a gift for Christmas, and did a fabulous job. It's definitely different, but such a nice change. Thanks so much! (We attempted to take the last picture with better lighting so you could actually see the blond, but it's still hard to tell. Just take our word for it, there really is some blond in all that brown!:)

1st Week in Ohio
This week has been great! Cody's been selling lots of pest control and keeping our tech busy! He's made the transformation into total Bug Man. He is working so hard! He really puts his heart into everything he does. He's been so busy running from one thing to the other, he’s only picked up his guitar once the whole time we've been here! That's just craziness. I do everything I can to help, but how do I study for the DAT for him or make sales for him or pump the iron for him??? What's a helpless wife to do? I guess as long as I give lots of love, be Mrs. Supportive, keep his tummy full, and keep a clean shirt on his back, that's all I can do. Let's just say, I married the best of the best. With all he has going on, he still makes time for me. So I'm bragging a little…but I seriously love my hubby, and I just can't keep it hush:)
As for me, I have really enjoyed working with the company. It's nice to be more involved with the same things as Cody. My job has been pretty easy so far because our team isn't here yet! It's just Cody, me, our manager, and one tech. We had one other sales rep arrive Saturday so things should pick up a bit. The team is great. I'm the only lady around so I get teased big time! It's all good though. We have a ton of fun and are probably much too loud when we all get together.
Sunday was my favorite day this week. Our ward is so awesome! I've never had so many people make an effort to introduce themselves and welcome us to the ward. It's a huge change from VA last summer. Ohio really is so friendly. I love it here! We also have tons of medical/dental students in our ward going to Ohio State, so it will be good for Cody to get some advice and such.
It was a blast having the missionaries over for dinner yesterday. You can tell they work hard and have that light that you hope to see in every missionary. Elder Cook is from Idaho and Elder Kennedy is from California. Interestingly....neither one of them had heard of Hawaiian Hay Stacks! I was definitely surprised! It was just one of those things that was frequently in the Moon home, ya know? Luckily, they both loved it (or are just both very polite;). They finished a whole plate and went for seconds! Even so, we still had tons of leftovers so we got as many guys from the office over to finish it off. Oh, and they also had never had cheesecake for a crowd! I guess they are just both family recipes or something. (Christine...just so you know...I live by the cookbook you compiled. I have a whole cupboard-full of new recipe books back home...but I almost exclusively use yours! So thank you, thank you! It's the best:)
Well after an afternoon of entertaining, we were very excited to talk to Casey! I was surprised how long we got to chat away, but it really was so great. I was glad to get to know him a little bit better. We have permission to go to his departure farewell and are so stoked! I think Cody is going to sing a duet with him as well. It will be nice to finally meet the Elder I've heard so much about I question if we really haven't met yet.

Journey to Ohio and More
Dearest Family!
It has been much too long since we tuned you in to what the Cutler clan has been up to. Our apologizes. Get ready for a long and detailed review. It has been an eventful past few weeks, and we are glad to say we survived! The past month we have been getting ready for our move to Ohio, getting through final exams, and training for the summer bugs. We are keeping our apartment in Logan so we don't have to worry about moving around that stuff, which is nice. Plus, if any of you are in the Cache Valley area and need a place to stay...it's totally up for grabs. We didn't bring much to Ohio so it looks as if we didn't even move. Anyways, here is a sum up of the past little while:
All last week was study, study, study! We each had three finals. I did fine, and Cody totally rocked it! He ended up with all A's and one A-. I am so proud! He's only .02% away from that A- being an A so his teacher is double checking everything to see if there was an error anywhere and hopefully get him up to a 4.0!!! We are so excited! This will definitely help with our dental school application. Cody is taking the DAT exam at the end of June and applications begin May 15, so we are in full swing of all this dental stuff. We will be happy with getting in this year or next year. We have plans for whatever the outcome.
After finals, we scrubbed down our apartment and packed up the necessities. By Friday afternoon, we were ready. We wanted to celebrate our one year anniversary before we arrived in Ohio so we could enjoy the Salt Lake Temple and not have work demanding our time. So we drove down to Salt Lake City with our enormous pack on out little Honda. It was quite the sight. We visited the temple and did sealings for about an hour. We loved it! What an incredible spirit and reminder of the covenants we made just a year ago. It brought back such wonderful memories! We were seriously so giddy!:) After enjoying the temple, we walked over to the Joseph Smith Memorial building for our dinner reservations. By the way...temple square looked amazing! The flowers were so colorful and just absolutely beautiful. I've never seen such perfect gardening. I almost want to hire whoever does the church's flowers, to do ours someday. It really was WOW!!! Well we took the elevator up to the top floor and made our way to the Roof. This was both our first time eating there, so we were totally stoked. Oh my, it was even better than we had imagined. Cody requested a window seat so we could see the incredible view of the temple. Wow, again! I would say aside from being in a very romantic setting with my most wonderful hubby, the view was my favorite part of the whole Roof experience. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. so we could see the temple in sunny, sunset, and star views. When the sun went down just enough that the rays were shining through the steeples, I just about died. It was surreal. Everyone stood up to take pictures immediately because it only lasted for a few minutes. (We didn't have our camera...I know, I need to repent and improve. I'm trying to used lots of detail though, so you can create your own picture in your minds.) Then the sun set beautifully and the temple lit up. WOW, once again! Not to mention the food was divine...the best gourmet buffet in town, if you ask me. Well after taking our time to enjoy the restaurant, Cody surprised me with a stay at the Anniversary Inn in the Phantom of the Opera room. He had me believing we were staying at the Moon lodge before we took off for Ohio the next morning. What a babe!:) I just love the way he loves me...it doesn't get any better than this! Here are a couple pictures we pulled off the internet.
Well the next morning we were off on our Ohio excursion. We drove through Green River to see the Cutler clan and pick up a few things. We got to chattin' and stayed longer than we had expected. So here we are, it's 5:30 p.m. on Saturday (just leaving WY) and our goal is to be in Ohio the next day. Many did not believe we would make it, but did we prove them wrong or what!?! We arrived at 7:30 p.m. in Columbus, OH on Sunday. Oh yeah!!! I-80 cannot bring us down! Cody was a trooper. He drove until 3 a.m. while he let me snooze. I woke up at 5 a.m. and was more alive than ever! I drove all morning while Cody slept. The joys of being a morning bird and marrying a night owl. It's perfect for us:) So we made it to Columbus in one piece and felt quite zippy. We didn't make it before the leasing office closed though so we stayed the night at our managers apartment. The next morning we moved into our apartment just as the furniture rental company arrived. We got all moved in, realized it was 4 p.m. and hadn't eaten, ordered some food, and then went grocery shopping. So we are all settled and absolutely love our apartment. We had a lot more room in the car this year, and so we brought some decorations. It's definitely cute and cozy. Cody will start scouting area today and hopefully selling. The shirts got shipped away because our branch manager wasn't in the office to receive them so we're just waiting on those. We got my office set up last night and it looks great. I got an office assistant which will be very nice, so things are looking good!
Last night we ran into the missionaries on our way to the gym. (By the way...when we found out our community had a 24-hour fitness center, Cody was more giddy than a school boy...so cute!) They seem like awesome, hard-working missionaries. They let us know where the church is and we invited them over for dinner on Sunday. They are in the family ward, so we'll probably go there. They are rooming with the assistants who go to the young-married ward...so we may switch it up. What's even more exciting is that they live in our same community so we are hoping for lots of FHEs and dinners with investigators. Having grown up in Utah, living in the mission field is such a treat!
Well we came back from the gym pretty exhausted after such a busy day. We got all ready for bed only to find our mattress had s strong scent of smoke. So our first night in our apartment was spent on the sofas, but they actually are super comfortable so it wasn't too bad. The furniture company is coming today to replace it so it's all good.
It looks like it's going to be a very successful summer. We brought lots to keep us busy, and are both earning some internship credit. Cody will be studying for the DAT every spare moment and I may consider looking into some GMAT preparation. I may just decide to pull through for a Masters, we'll just have to see where life takes us until then. What's cool is that I may be able to take some graduate and undergraduate classes at the same time. So it may be wise to get going on the GMAT. I just don't know how thrilled I am of the idea of another three semesters of school on top of this next year. Who knows!:)
Well family, we sure do love you! We think of you often. We're happy all went well with Christine's delivery and are so excited for a new addition into the Moon clan. We can't wait to meet little Madsen in just a few weeks!:)
