Casey & Kimber came to town!

We always love when Casey and Kimber come for a visit.  They just step right in and become part of the family.  The kids adore them... we adore them... so it just works:)  

Hopefully we didn't bore them to death with our daily routine.  Cody had blocked off a few days of school the following week so we could go out and do awesome fun things together.  We were thrilled we got to see them a whole week earlier even though our activities consisted of just the day to day stuff.  They're pretty darn awesome though and it's just nice having them around:)

So pretty much...

we watched a whole lot of Olympics

played with Jaden

adored Brielle

pulled out the kiddie pool before a slight downpour

played with Jaden some more

hit up the Goodwill (a C&K favorite)

grilled a feast

visited Uncle Danny & Aunt Monique

watched more Olympics

guys did their mandatory guys night and basketball night

ate a million treats

etc.

Kimber came up with a great way to keep Jaden occupied.

She froze a bunch of his toys and a few treats in a huge block of ice!

The idea was to have Jaden chizzle away to find his little treasures.

He stayed interested for a little while... then begged for everyone else to help him:)

Such a fun idea!

Had such a fun visit and then it was time to say goodbye. So glad we got to see them before their big adventure in Nebraska for dental school!

My little bro is a unit director at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan for the next month.  We're talking only 5 hours away from us!  Definitely had to go up and see him. 

Jaden was stoked to see his Uncle Andrew!  Of course he had to sit by him through dinner.

After a night of hangin' at the hotel and card games, we were ready for a full day at the beach!

We LOVED the beach when we visited last year so that was a MUST.

We found a nice shady spot for lunch...

and Jaden found a nice sandy spot to whip out his sand toys.

The boys loved the water.

Jaden was cautious, but warmed up to the waves soon enough.

Not too far down the beach, we discovered this creation.

Bri and I hung out on the sand most of the day:)
