Showered (a.k.a. spoiled)

I feel so lucky.  I have the best friends in the world!  They spoiled me rotten this past weekend at a baby shower for my little girl.  Seriously so much fun.

Some of the spread.  Everything was delicious!
Rachael made the adorable cake:)  Lacey made my favorite "drops of heaven."

Bonnie put this cute diaper bicycle together.  How darling is that?!?

:more party guests:

:gifts and games:
We all had fun sniffing chocolatey "dirty" diapers to identify the candy:)  Thanks Jessica!
See that gorgeous quilt?  20 hours of crochet work!  Lacey rocks like that.
And the clothes!  She'll be well-dressed, that is for sure:)

Lacey, thank you for planning such a fun party:)
and thank you to the gracious hostess, Joanna.

spring break

With baby girl being due a week before our fifth anniversary, we decided to celebrate early this year so we could have a romantic get-away (kidless of course)!  So we took a couple days out of Cody's spring break and headed downtown.  We dined, shopped, and stayed at a gorgeous hotel called Omni Severin.  So relaxing and nice to just have a couple days away from the hustle and bustle.

Cody happened to mention we were celebrating 5 years of marriage to the hotel staff.
They outdid themselves and upgraded us to a two-level suite... seriously cool.

They dropped by some chocolate-covered strawberries and wine as well.
Ha, at least we got to enjoy the delicious strawberries!:)

The breakfast buffet was to. die. for.

While shopping, we stopped by Brookstone (probably one too many times) to enjoy the luxury of full-body, neck, head, and foot massages.

So fun to celebrate the best 5 years of my life with this wonderful guy of mine.
Thank you to our friends, the Becks, for watching our little man:)

We ended the break with some St. Patrick's Day fun and treats.

Spring has definitely sprung here in Indiana:)

Happy Birthday to me!

My 25th birthday came much quicker than anticipated.  My sweet friends reminded me it was birthday celebration time when they planned a lunch date complete with gifts, flowers, and delicious food.  They are the best!  I had such a great time, and felt totally spoiled.

On the actual day, my honey and Jaden greeted me in the morning with breakfast in bed.  Love that tradition:)
Jamie wasn't able to make it to the lunch date, so she treated me to lunch at Bravo and we did a quick shopping trip.  So fun!
Our sitter came by that night so Cody and I could have a night on the town.  He surprised me with another mix of cute love songs to listen to on our drive (maybe that will become a birthday tradition too:)

A birthday wouldn't be complete without cake and a few candles:)
Jaden knew exactly what do do after we blew out the candles.  Dive in head first!
I guess that's what happens when you encourage it on his own birthday.

It was a great birthday!  Kinda feels like the countdown to 30 begins...
