The 4th totally rocked this year. I sure do love this country and grateful for the examples in my life of true patriotism and sacrifice for freedom. I feel very blessed to raise my family in a nation of such vast opportunity.
We got a few friends together and did some good ol' camping. It was so much fun... the kids want to make it an annual tradition!
settin' up camp
and getting settled in:)
poor J... he really didn't feel too hot that night and early next morning:(
(as you can see here too... :/)
the girlies wanted to help with the firewood:)
and Landon just wanted to play in the dirt
Landon's hangout spot to keep him out of the dirt:)
Miss Bri is the sweetest thing
s'mores anyone?
don't mind if I do
the kids made some new friends with our fellow neighbor campers, and had lots of fun adventures together:)

I think the best part was staying up late chatting and laughing while the rain poured down around us. Such a fun and neat couple, we love hanging with the Vincents.
Steph and Josh brought Rocky along... he is such a good dog!
hunting for crawdads
got him!
see... Arizona is beautiful! We were surrounded by the splendor of nature, and just loved it. The weather was perfect.
gone fishing
We arrived back home the afternoon of Independence Day, then we were off to a pool party at the Weatleys.
the spread was so festive and delish!
getting the water balloons ready
how cool is that? whip out 50 balloons in less than a minute?!
water balloon baseball was a hit!
poolside fireworks (we had a great view of Schnepf Farm's fireworks and a few other shows too... it was saawweeet!)
and a few sparklers to end the night
Such a fun holiday. God bless the USA!
