Happy Easter everyone! We had a great weekend just chillin' at home watching conference and then spending some time down in Seymour with Cody's Uncle Danny and his fam. Saturday morning we dyed some Easter eggs and Jaden went crazy over them! It was hilarious, but we had to keep a close eye so he wouldn't put them in his mouth! Funny boy!
Being that we're here in Indy, we missed the annual "Easter on the Hill" with the Cutler family. Remember
Easter 2008 and
Easter 2009? So we thought we'd just continue the tradition in our own little way. We roasted dogs over the fire and then rolled a few eggs down our mini-hill in the back yard. We had a great time and Jaden loved it!
On Easter morning, we found a little something the Easter Bunny left for Jaden. He just wanted to chew on everything in his basket, including the grass! It was fun to see him get excited about all the new things to play with! Having a child just makes holidays so exciting all over again:)
Then it was off to Seymour! We really enjoyed hanging out with the Christensen's. We watched conference, ate a super yummy Easter dinner, did an egg hunt, and then watched more conference. I really enjoyed all the messages and feel motivated as a Mother to teach Jaden and prepare him to face the world. The responsibility of parents was definitely emphasized during this conference and really hit home for me.
The egg hunt was great! Jaden spotted just one little yellow egg hangin' out in a flower pot right next to the start line.
We had a blast and Jaden just adored Uncle Danny and Aunt Monique! They were so great with him. We feel blessed to have family nearby and it's always a treat when we get together.
Those of you who know the Christensen fam, know they love pets, especially birds! I think Cody warmed up to the little things much better than I did. Ha.
Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend!:)
