The boy LOVES monkeys. He has a little blankie stuffed monkey he has slept with since day one and just adores... as you can see;) In fact at one point it went missing and we attempted to replace it. He wasn't too thrilled about it, but warmed up to it a bit after some time. Well eventually blue monkey was found and now Landon insists on sleeping with both blue and brown monkeys!:)
Soooo a monkey birthday bash it was! We celebrated with a few kiddos from the neighborhood and had a great time! The fun included monkey cupcakes & favors, pizza & bananas, gifts and a monkey piñata! We held the party at a little splash pad just up the road, and it was a hit!

Landon enjoys peace and tranquility, so I wasn't too surprised when he covered his ears as the kids bellowed their happy birthday tune;)
A couple days later was Landon's actual day of birth. The kids helped me make biscuits and orange julius to surprise Landon when he woke up. We gave the banner another try too:)
Landon loved it... and of course blue monkey joined us;)
We opened a few gifts from family too.
We were invited to Fat Cats that night for some bowling and arcade games. Perfect outing for our birthday boy! We love hanging with the McBrides and Crewses.
The Sweet Tooth Fairy is just next door, so we didn't pass up the opportunity for Landon to pick out a birthday treat before heading home.

We let the celebrating go another day longer with some donuts and candles. Love these cuties of mine and all their expression:)
I am one blessed momma to call this kid my own. He has been such a joy in our family. Love you Landon. It's great to be 2!
