Jaden's Blessing Day

This past Sunday was Jaden's blessing day!  Cody did such a wonderful job!  It was definitely a "proud wife" moment for me.  We had a lot of support from family and friends.  Thank you all for coming!  We had a little get together at my parents house afterwards.  It was a fantastic day, and Jaden held up so well through all the excitement!

Cody is finally done with his first semester!!! Yeah!  To celebrate, we went out to dinner with the other class men.  Only seven more semesters left before we can call Cody... Dr. Cody:)  Ha.

The next night we went downtown to check this out....

It's called the "Circle of Lights,"  and surrounds the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Monument Circle downtown Indy.  It's pretty sweet if you ask me!

Jaden was super snuggled up... he slept the majority of the time.

Say Cheese!

We started noticing Jaden's true smiles the first couple weeks in November.  It was about the time we were in Arizona that there was no denying it!  This little sweetie has been all smiles ever since.  It seriously melts me!

This first one was caught on Cody's phone camera on our way to the airport in Arizona.

Today we took Jaden to the dental school for my dental appointment.  He was struttin' his Hooiser pride.  Don't mind the big splotch on Cody's face.  That's something I can't seem to get off my cell phone camera lens.  Don't worry, Mom, it's not facial hair:)

Jaden is actually enjoying his tummy time now that he has the boppy for support.  It lets him see what's going on and still be part of the action!  

Then when he gets sick of it... we just flip him over!

I'm sure there have been a million other moms that discovered the wonders of the boppy before me, but I'm still excited about it!:)

Let the Christmas cheer begin!

This year we kicked off the Christmas festivities with our ward Christmas party.  Oh it was fun! There was a cute little nativity program and Jaden even got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time.

We also had a Christmas party at the Jenks' house with our dental school friends.  We played games (including my personal favorite... mafia!), did a white elephant gift exchange, and enjoyed each other's company!  It was super fun!

Off the Charts!

Yesterday Jaden went in for his 2 month check up and basically we found out he is HUGE!  He is 12 lbs. 13 oz. which is in the 75-80th percentile.  I can't remember his head size but the doctor said it was in the 90th percentile, AND he is 25 inches long!!!  That's OVER the 97th percentile!  What?!?  Cody and I may be tall, but nothing that above average.  Amazing.  We just love our little man and boy is he growing!  More so than we realized!:)
