Karate

I think we found one of Jaden's greatest passions in his 6-year-old life.  This kid loves karate!  Really, really loves it.  He's been attending instruction classes for about 5 months and has advanced from white belt to high orange belt.  He will soon move to green belt and I couldn't be more proud of his dedication and commitment.  I think what I love about karate most is it teaches self-dicipline, respect, leading by example, etc.  Price's karate is the best and we appreciate all they have taught and continue to teach our Jaden.

1st day

a moment of recognition and encouragement to close each class

First advancement to gold belt.
(He was so excited, he stopped by the church while I was at mutual to show me his accomplishment.  Love this guy!)

After completing his first month, Jaden joined black-belt club.  Here he gets to put what he's learning into action with sparring instruction and learning Bo staff form as well.

Some of his first attempts sparring.  He has picked up on it really well and continues to surprise everyone... especially being the only gold belt in the class!

After advancing to his high gold belt, we started a BoSa donut tradition to celebrate!  It's right next door and the kids always look forward to it:)

With Cody's dental office being just across the parking lot from karate, sometimes Jaden just needs to be dropped off and Cody will swing by to pick him up.  Sometimes we sit and enjoy watching him, so the kiddos have had to get a bit creative with entertaining themselves.

When Jaden advanced to low orange belt he was recognized for his quick learning and commitment.  He has been most impressive with how well he's progressing.

Then on to solid orange

and now at high orange belt

We love this guy so much and love seeing his excitement and enthusiasm!  Go Jaden!
