Surprise!

We will be traveling down to Tennessee next week for a very special niece's baptism, and so my cute hubs surprised me with an early birthday celebration!!!  It was oh so fun!  First a little shopping and then The Melting Pot.  For reals, you gotta check this place out.  We're talking fondue to the extreme!  I've been wanting to try it for.ev.er and let's just say it did not disappoint.  Yum, yum, yum!

After feeding and putting Jaden down for bed, I came out to find another little surprise.  

That's right.  You can count the candles.  I'm turning 23.

I was defeated.

So it's been snowing a lot.  In fact, it's been snowing so much that our car has gotten stuck at the end of our driveway three times this past week!  Cody was out shoveling, and I thought he could probably use some help.  So I bundled up, grabbed the baby monitor and a shovel, and headed out.  Well one snowball led to another snowball, and I ended up looking like this:

Our Valentine's Day

We had a quiet and cozy little Valentine's this year.  Jaden hung out with me in the kitchen while baking some heart-shape chocolate and andes mint cookies.  After he was down for bed, Cody and I dressed up for our date, and then enjoyed a yummy candlelit dinner for two.  I just love my two Valentines.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here comes another one!

That's right folks!  We had yet another photo shoot of the one and only.... JADEN!  You may think it's a bit much, but let me tell you why.  Our photographer (Krystal Dawn... love her!) offers what is called the "Milestone Package."  She does your maternity, newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and one year photos for one great price!  Of course we couldn't resist!  This IS our first child ya know!  Anyway, these shots were taken when Jaden was about 3 1/2 months and we LOVE them.  Thanks Dawn!

Jaden also had his 4 month check-up today.  He was such a rockstar!  He was Mr. Happy despite the appointment being during his naptime and battling his first sinus cold.  And to no one's surprise, our little man really isn't little at all!  He's 16 lbs. 10 oz. (80%), 28 inches long (over 97%), and his head is also over the 97th percentile measuring at almost 18 inches around!  That little honey has doubled his birth weight.  Let's just say, he ain't drinkin' skim milk:)  I'm sure every Mom agrees that being a Mom is the BEST job in the world.  Jaden is just so fun; I can't get enough of him!:)
