Our Jaden is seriously growing up and will be 8 before we know it! Man, we love this kid. He's determined, confident, incredibly intelligent, a total goofball, loves video games, wrestling, sports, karate, his friends, pokemon, etc. To celebrate his 7th birthday we planned a whole weekend of fun. His birthday falls during Fall Break so the Friday before school was out, I brought him his favorite chick-fil-a lunch and birthday cookies to share with his class.
Jaden had a whole bunch of ideas and suggestions to celebrate his birthday including camping, fun zone entertainment, Lagoon, hike, water park, overnight staycation, etc. We settled on a super fun hotel with a waterpark there onsite for lots of fun play.

The hotel was beautiful! I loved all the greenery.
Breakfast buffet at the local Sizzler. Jaden loves buffets... so many options!

Then it was back to the hotel for some water fun!

That night Jaden invited a couple of his best friends over for a Star Wars themed late night.
Bri loved helping mom get everything set up and ready to go:)

The boys took their light saber swords and attacked Darth Vader (aka piñata).
Then they took their pick of costumes and continued the fight between the light and dark sides.
Even our little Chewbacca got in on the fun.

We finished the night watching a few Star Wars cartoons and opening presents. We all had a great time!
Jaden's actual birthday fell on conference Sunday. We had to wake up extra early to beat Jaden out of bed, but we managed to get breakfast to him before he woke up this year:)

We set up a conference store again this year to encourage the kids to listen to the speakers and make it a bit more enjoyable on J's birthday.
Worked like a charm even with some goofing around too;)
