Oh man, how I love this kid.
He's such a goof! Full of energy, optimism, love, happiness, playfulness, excitement, and a whole lot of sweet.
This guy made me a mom three years ago, and it's been quite an adventure ever since.
Jaden can make any dull moment more fun, and any sad moment more happy. He has a love for life, for people, and all the simple little things around him.
: all things Jaden :
his stats:
38 lbs (90%)
3 ft 4 3/4 in (97%)
Jaden has a fantastic memory. He remembers little details from events that took place months ago. He memorizes people's faces, names, words to songs and books, etc.
The kid knows his shapes, colors, letters, and numbers up to 30.
His imagination has gone wild! He role plays superhero scenarios, house, fireman scenes, etc.
He manipulates objects & food into something else (i.e. bites his toast to shape letters, numbers, objects, etc.)
Pens and crayons are his rocket ships. Sticks and wrapping paper tubes are his swords. Paper towel tubes are his telescopes.
He is ALL BOY. He loves to wrestle, play in the dirt, sword fight, "rescue" just about anything from danger.
LOVES to be in the middle of the action, center of attention, and totally involved.
He loves to be the big boy helper... from dishes to sweeping to cooking and cleaning.
He's outspoken and articulate. He has a great vocabulary. He speaks in full sentences and paragraphs.
This boy is INDEPENDENT. I can't even count how many times a day I hear, "I want to do it ALL BY MYSELF!"
and...
He's potty trained!!! :)
When he was ready, he was ready. It took one day of using the potty for him to understand the ropes.
(His first two days of wearing big boy underwear, he just held it all day. So the 3rd day I had him down 32 oz. of fluid first thing in the morning and then it was GAME ON, and he did great!)
He wears pull-ups at night time, but often wakes up dry. I'm still not brave enough to have him wear underwear in public, but 99.9% of the time he's fine with using public restrooms and comes home dry:)
enter hallelujah chorus of angels :) :) :)
Well it's been a good 6 months since I did any kind of update on the J-man, so these pictures were taken anywhere from the age of 2 1/2 to 3 years.

:pancakes and play dough:
I love that he wanted he and sister to be bears rather than gingerbread
people... and he wanted Brielle to be the bigger bear too:)
:park, backyard, new Batman house, and creative play sitting in his dresser drawer:
kiddie pool "tunnel" - loves the neighbor's lawn mower
cool kid wearing a hat - found his Daddy's sock in the laundry basket
learned how to pedal his trike this summer!
Trip to the Children's Museum - Hot Wheels!
Being a momma of two, Jaden has found more opportunities to find mischief of one kind and another.
(tub of lotion used as gel in his hair, green marker all over wall)
still loves his snuggle bear and snuggle blankie
loves to play dress-up
lovingly named his Lightning Mcqueen cars... "daddy, mommy, jaden, & sister"
speaking of dress-up...
(don't mind the pink dress... it's all Kenzie had;)
big boy helper
"Look mommy, I made a cracker sandwich!"
Mario man and some lounging
breakfast with his stuffies...
ALL of them.
:working out:
:playing hard:
loves to color
uses gloves to eat eat his otter pops
attempted a mini-photo shoot with Brielle when she was 2 weeks old
of course Jaden wanted to be part of the action:)
Jaden is such a good big brother! He just can't get enough of little Bri.
He loves to kiss and snuggle her, and he never passes up an opportunity to pick her and I some "flowers" (a.k.a. dandelions, weeds, etc).

Yay for being 3! Some call it "horrific threes"... I'm hoping we're past that terrible-two business, but we shall see:)
Love you J-man!
