Nashville

With baby's arrival and a cross-country move quickly approaching, we thought it would be fun to have one last hoorah with some dear friends of ours.  Sooo... a weekend trip to Nashville, Tennessee it was!

Music City here we come!

we stopped along the border of Indiana and Kentucky at a great pizza place

So fun hanging with Mikal and Brittany!

Other than a 2 hour-delay due to a blown tire, the drive was great:)

We made it just in time to board the General Jackson Showboat for our dinner and show on the river.

Cody picked up a little souvenir while we were at it:)

We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel

The place was amazing!
indoor gardens, river, cascading waterfalls

hence the picture overload:)

after so many pictures, you start to get creative with the poses...

lots of dining, shopping, and entertainment options too
(not that we totally took advantage, since our itinerary kinda took a back burner to our spontaneous natures:)

Downtown Nashville

the boys wanted go to a Weezer concert and surprised us girls with a night of Broadway

It was wicked;)

Delta flatboat tour on the hotel river

and a few must-sees before we headed home:
Grand Ole Opry

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!  Love our friends so much!
(HUGE thanks to the Goffs for watching our kiddos for the weekend!!!)

the green get-up

Jaden contributed to the festive decor, and insisted his rainbow have two pots of gold:)

Kimber made this cake stand for me... gorgeous!

Lemon Chicken (green) Spaghetti with Spinach
Can't say the kiddos totally appreciated all the green, but it was fun anyway!

Jaden loves a good workout

and look at these pillow covers!  Kimber whipped these out in maybe an hour.  She's amazing, and I love them!  My living room feels so much brighter!:)  Thanks so much girly!

Max on the carrousel - so cute to see him take it all in.

she always insists her goggles be pink:)

'Don't Eat Pete' was a favorite throughout the week

we had beautiful weather the last day of their visit so we spent the afternoon soaking in the sun
