We had such a fun 4th of July weekend! Friday night, we met up with Cody's Uncle Danny and his family for an awesome firework show in Columbus, IN. Grandpa and Fran were there too! They had flown in that week to visit and help out since Cody's Aunt Monique had her tonsils removed. The crowd was massive, but we were lucky to have Danny's neighbors saving us seats. We played frisbee with the boys and made glow stick necklaces, bracelets, and a bunch of other crazy contraptions. The fireworks were awesome and then we fought the crowds back home. The next day we had a ward breakfast that morning and then a BBQ with Danny, Monique, their boys, Grandpa and Fran. We played games all day and then later that night the power went out! We pulled out the candles and then Cody and Ty started up on the piano. It wasn't long before we had four of us all on one piano just making it up as we went:) It was fun and pretty cool if you ask me! After an hour or so of switching off on the piano we sang a few hymns and ended the night with a family prayer. It was great being with family. We feel blessed to have family so close by. Thanks for having us over!
I got this idea from my sister, Marianne... to turn cheesecake into a flag cake!:)

wow, no fair, you move to the other side of the country and still have family. While, us here in Cali still don't have anyone. Pooper. So cool that you got to know that part of the family better and how exciting that the power went out. I can only imagine you guys havin a blast with that.
Cute flag cake! Glad you guys had a good fourth. You look great :)
I'm so thrilled that you were able to be with family over the holiday. One of these days, Sarah, you will hsve so many family members to deal with on the holidays. Someone else has told me that the holidays are the hardest time to be away from home.
Sounds like you had loads of fun.
Fun! Camille, you are looking fabulous, as always. I'm lovin' that baby bump-so cute!
