reasons to celebrate

Last week I celebrated my 27th birthday.  How is it that the years seem to go by more and more quickly?  I think this whole growing up thing happens so gradually, it's hard to really notice.  And before you know it, another year has gone by!

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be surrounded by friends and family that really know how to make a gal feel special.

The girls took me out to Panera Bread for yummy food and chatter.  They spoiled me with all sorts of things and then a few of us did a little shopping.  I love these girls so much!  They have made Indiana home to me.

Cody texted me this pic while I was out... he kept the the kiddos busy with a mattress spaceship and this became their spaceport.  Haha, he definitely is the creative one in our relationship:)

french toast has long been a favorite of mine, so Cody spruced it up a bit and surprised me with breakfast in bed:)

I'm amazed I've kept this guy alive as long as I have (despite my curious toddler plucking off an entire stem).  A friend gave me an amaryllis bulb back in November and I didn't get around to planting it until February!  It was a fun surprise when it decided to bloom on my birthday... couldn't have planned it better!

the man knows me well... love me some chocolate!

jaden prefers the silly :)

Cody took me out to a cute little Italian restaurant, La Trattoria.  It was delicious!

We ended the night with a movie.  It's nice to get some time just the two of us.
Thank you, Merkleys, for keeping our house in one piece while we were away!

So it turns out the day following my birthday, is National Dentist's Day.  So we thought we'd keep the party going and surprise Cody with a little "thank you to our dentist."
love ya babe!

Glad you had a great birthday, you deserve it. Enjoy those friends in Indy, seriously a once-in-a-lifetime kind of friend circle that is. I'm excited for your new baby to arrive. Missed you last week on the cruise.
