happenings and some catch-up

Some more things as of late:

The house projects are never-ending.  Here the kids are helping daddy paint some drawers during a lunch-break.  We also picked up this wood off the side of the road and built some garage shelves with it.

little shenanigans from these two

they thought this was a pretty clever hiding spot... I think so too:)

the kids were pretty stoked to dress up like cows... and who doesn't like a free meal at Chick-fil-a?!

a little family outing to the Idea Museum

hello chester cat

the black lights and glowing paint was pretty fantastic in this Alice in Wonderland room:)

the dress-up didn't stop there...

cutest turtles ever

not sure how I talked Cody into joining in... and Landon was not a fan

and a little stage production

Jaden made a new friend at the Honda dealership, and they built a cozy spot together for some cartoon viewing:)

pooling it up at the Wheatleys house

and at home:)

chillin' with the neighbor friend, Ellie

some kind of rock-a-bye baby game they made up;)

Landon had a little too much fun with this peanut butter cup...

and J had a little too much fun with the stickers during Sacrament meeting ;)

This was probably the best hiding spot ever... so good, I could hardly escape it myself!
Bri and I stuffed ourselves into a cabinet in the laundry room!  The boys were searching for quite some time until Bri got the giggles:)

and while I was cheesecaking with this fine duo..

(seriously love these girls btw)

Cody was home braiding every last inch of this girl's hair!

I think she liked it:)

and just a crazy family selfie for the books

on our way to the park

family dinner at the Olive Garden

Here we are at the Toyota dealership.  The kids love to come along and play on this super cool pirate ship.

Taking Brielle prisoner... poor thing.

she immediately escaped though, so all is well:)

Jaden showing off all these sweet fruit snack bars he scored at boot camp!

And speaking of boot camp, I've been with this amazing group of woman for about 10 months now, and just love it.  It keeps me motivated, inspired, and strong.  Couldn't ask for a better way to start each day.

getting a little craft on...

a little fort building

painting nails

Jaden wanted to help out... haha!

Casey and Kimber came to visit!  We loved having them and their cute boys.  This is what our families looked like at dinner.. parents at the adult table, kids at the little table, babies lined up in their high chairs... 'tis our stage of life:)

Max and Bri jumping with sprinklers

and popsicles:)

and a trip to Sunsplash... so so fun!

getting the teeth done too!

we met up with Casey at FatCats before they headed home
a quick game of ladder ball while we bowled

and a game of pirate-themed blacklight mini-golf

In August, I received word of this great man's passing.  He delivered all three of my kids and has a very special place in my heart.  He was there every step of the way, and was so supportive and encouraging.  We love you Dr. Stall!

more fun with the neighbor kids... decorating their spaceship!

Landon climbed in with his toys and so Brielle followed suit.  Sometimes life is just more fun in a box:)

and a couple selfies with mom while we're at it

more fun in the spaceship

off on a date!

Landon wen through a phase where he was obsessed with putting things in the trash!  We found many a thing in there ...  :/

Bri discovering the world of selfies

he's careful with his walking, but he sure can climb!

J dressing it up at Weston's house

and Brielle dressing it up at Ellie's house

a little golf outing for this guy with his friend, Ben.

although J won't admit it, they really do love each other :)

This is Michaela Bolster.  She is one of Tayliann's (Cody's sister's) favorite mission companions, and is from Queen Creek!  She recently returned home, so we had her over for dinner.  We had such a great time getting to know her and hearing more about the mission!  She was so sweet and fun to talk to.

Krazy Air with some friends!  The kids were so excited!  They easily could have stayed all day.

and back to the Toyota dealership!  The kids didn't mind much:)

having a park behind us provides for some nice entertainment:)

summer wouldn't be complete without some time at the splash pad:)

Wicked!!

Thanks to Dr. Wolff for the tickets!

It was Cody's 1st time seeing it.  He really liked it:)

We also cut this cute guy's hair.  16 months old and a head full of beautiful curls.  I was so sad to cut it, but it was becoming a little untamable:)
(a few before shots)

(during)

He wasn't too sure about the new due at first.

goodbye lovely curls!

but felt much better after getting all that itchy hair washed off:)

(a few more after shots)

a little trip to FatCats during Fall break

the kids loved the bowling

fun at the park with Latham

Jaden has loved his Let's Play Music class.  It's an introductory course to music all through play!  I'm amazed at the concepts he has picked up.  It's a perfect start for piano lessons down the road:)

Jaden loves an opportunity to earn some extra cash.  I promised him we could set up a lemonade & cookie stand next time there was a community sale (brings in lots of extra customers).  It was super windy, but a total success!  Good job buddy!

One of our favorite local restaurants is Oregano's and they just opened a new location in Queen Creek!  So Jaden and Brielle went on a date with Dad to dinner and the movies, and loved it.

They even brought out dough balls for the kids to play with while they waited:)

Life is busy, but good busy:)
