new year & big moments

We came home from our travels out west to a very thick blanket of fluffy snow, so we spent New Year's Eve playing in it and building a snowman!

That night we joined the Beck's in their traditional fondue night:)

The kiddos loved the melted chocolate (and driving Bri around in their little red car).

With the new year came some BIG moments for our big boy Jaden.

He started preschool!!!

I took him in the first day, helped him hang up his coat, and when I turned around to say goodbye he had already ran in to join the other kids.  Talk about quick adjustment.  It felt so weird driving away from the preschool.... made me want to cry leaving him!  He did great and always gets an awesome report from his teachers:)

He started Sunbeams that same week.  He loves the other kids in his class, and seems to do just fine until he finds Mom in the primary room during sharing time;)

All the while, Jaden got to bring along his cool green cast to share in his big moments:)  Poor guy took a fall off a stool onto hard tile while at Grammie's house:(  He had a hairline fracture on his left elbow, but it has healed up perfectly and his range of motion is almost entirely back.

So proud of our big boy and all the changes 2013 has brought:)  Cheers to a new year!
