I think we can all agree that this winter has been extreme in every way.  

Extra cold, extra snowy, extra icy, extra gloomy, extra long... you get the idea.  Remember that crazy first week in February?  Our family and friends out West were experiencing temperatures far below 0, there were major snow blizzards throughout the Midwest and crazy ice storms for all of us here in Indy.

Of course you remember.  How could we ever forget?!

Best part about it all?  School was cancelled for 3 days in a row!  That means Jaden and I got Cody all to ourselves for three unexpected and wonderful days:)

 We walked around the mall and let Jaden run free in the play area.

I thought the slide was his favorite part until he spotted these guys.  Wouldn't stay away from them.

They're the super fancy shopping carts that cost $$$ so we never get one to use.  Had to give in and at least let Jaden sit in one.  He loved it and wouldn't stop making his best car noises:)

Call us crazy, but we thought we'd enjoy some icy smoothies in the snow while we were at it.

With the extra time on his hands, Cody thought he'd put up a back splash.  Nothing too fancy, but something we've been wanting to do for quite some time.

We took advantage of the opportunity for late nights and lounging in our PJs late into the morning.  Cody and I slept on the hide-a-bed a couple of the nights so we could stay up doing movie marathons.  So fun!  (and Jaden didn't mind the lounging)

Didn't get a picture, but it was a blast having the husband's join us ladies for lunch bunch that week.  They all tease us about our lunches, but we love it and wanted them to join in on the fun.

The last day we spent the afternoon with the Thompsons at the Children's Museum.  Every time we go it feels like an entirely new museum since there is just soooo much to see!  Even now, we've probably only covered 50% of the place.  It's awesome!

Check out the crazy mirrors!  It totally weirded me out.  That is a whole lot of me.  Ha, maybe too much!;)  Question is... which one is the real me?

Um none of them.  I'm behind the camera.

Jaden had lots of fun playing in the kitchen.

p.s.  The weather has been so nice and warm the past couple days!  Perfect for Valentine's Day!  Even so... we still have our very own personal ice skating rink outside our front door:)
