The Moons visited!

No, not my Moon family but our good ol' Moon friends!  This past weekend Mallory and Dustin (and their cute little Bryson, of course) came down from Illinois to hang with us for a few days.  (Mallory and I were roomies freshmen year.)  Friday we just ate dinner, caught each other up on life, and played games.  Unfortunately, the boys dominated e.v.e.r.y. game.  Not even cool.  Still way fun though!

Bryson and Jaden warmed up to each other in no time at all.  Bryson was so cute with our little guy.  He would just grab his hands and hold them or shake them.  So adorable!

Saturday seemed to be nice and sunny so we packed a picnic and headed downtown to the canal.  Well the wind factor kicked in and it may have been sunny, but not so nice and warm.  It was pretty much  freezing!!!  So we scarfed down a few bites and decided to check out the Children's Museum instead.  Seriously one of the coolest things ever!  We are definitely getting a family pass when Jaden is old enough to appreciate it:)  We saw maybe 15% of the place... it's huge!

and inside...

That night we made some tin foil dinners to cook over the fire out back.  Well it wasn't until after we gave up on the fire and just cooked them in the oven that we got the fire going!  I guess it's better to use wood from your backyard forest than store-bought firewood!  It was fun just chillin' around the campfire and roasting s'mores later that night, too!

And yes... there was still lots of march madness in our house.

Thanks for coming!:)

Oh Dustin beat me to it! Thank you! We had SO much fun! We'll definitely make a pit stop on our way out to Virginia, but until then our door (or rather my inlaws) is open.
